Verse 1:
From high in the sky, Queen Elena watches Marion’s army
Advance. With their knights they’ve arrived, victory to claim.
Most of the vampires are gone, they’ve left to stop the giants who march through their
Lands. With two dozen nobles and with her serfs, she must prevail.

Chorus 1:
She must win this battle, for to lose is the end.
She’d have no army left, her kingdom to defend.
She’ll do what it takes (she’ll do what it takes), she’ll risk it all
For if this battle is lost, the vampires will fall.

Verse 2:
The battle begins, and Elena watches the knights cut their way through her
Men. With her nobles gone, they’re the strongest force on the field.
She’s lost thousands of men, the cannons are silent, Queen Marion enters the
Fray. Her charge is the key, Elena must not let it succeed.

Chorus 2:
She must stop Queen Marion, there’s no other way.
She’ll do what it takes (she’ll do what it takes), her enemy she’ll slay.
She asks her nobles, “Are you ready to die?”
“We are,” they all answer, and swoop down from the sky.

Verse 3:
They fly for Queen Marion, seventeen vampires against thousands of
Knights. She’s in the saddle. Elena grabs her from behind.
Crossbow bolts through her wings, through her legs, but Elena wouldn’t let go of her prey.
She flaps her wings and soars high into the sky.

Chorus 3:
Below, cannons fire; above, two queens battle.
Marion stabs her, again and again (and again and again!)
They’re just high enough now, and Elena releases her.
The Verdant queen falls, and so, her life ends.

Verse 4:
Gravely wounded, in pain, Elena crashes down onto the
Ground. She’s left the battle behind, and hopes her people will win.
She needs ten pints of blood, but only one of her nobles is left.
He lays down his life for her, the vampire queen.

Chorus 4:
She’ll age five hundred times faster, this is her fate now.
She must win the war, before it’s too late.
Her world of order and justice, is now in danger,
Yet she’ll do what it takes (she’ll do what it takes), her dream to defend.

Repeat the last two lines:
Her world of order and justice, is now in danger,
Yet she’ll do what it takes (she’ll do what it takes), her dream to defend.
